The memorable commercial "Thank you Rome" by Barilla, produced by Filmmaster in 1986, was considered one of the most beautiful commercials ever. The Spot was filmed in Rome, close to the Olympic Stadium, and stars a child named Joska Versari as the main character. Draped in a Roma scarf, the young protagonist roams despondently through the market stalls in front of the Olympic Stadium, tuned into the match on his small radio. With a melancholic look, he turns his attention to "his" fluttering yellow-red flag and takes a seat on an empty bench. The stadium caretaker, portrayed by Luigi Costa Uzzo, notices the emotional scene and, touched, allows him entry. The child ascends to the stands filled with enthusiastic Giallorossi fans. The commercial concludes with the words, "Thank you, Roma," acknowledging the team's close pursuit of victory in the 1985/86 Football Championship.
