Filmmaster produced the memorable Kraft Mayonnaise commercial "It's finished!" in 1991, winning the Cannes Bronze Lions. The ad combines irony and emotions, focusing on a classic family of parents, two children, and grandparents sitting together for a meal. The mayonnaise becomes the unifying element, essential for defining the occasion as a true family dinner.
Even though there were many delicious dishes on the table, none would taste as good "without Kraft Mayonnaise." When the grandfather found out it was finished, the family got worried and checked the jar. The scene got intense when the grandfather fainted, making everyone concerned and amused. The next part shows another family below, also disturbed by the grandfather's fall. The head of that family understands the situation and tells his son to bring their Kraft Mayonnaise jar upstairs.
Who is the real protagonist of the commercial, the family or the mayonnaise? In reality it is a combination that is closely related. The image of the family, in fact, is totally transferred to the product and so too do the values that the family embodies.
Kraft Mayonnaise is a product that brings families together since it can be enjoyed by everyone, fitting into any family. It can be purchased with confidence because it's made with healthy and genuine ingredients, as emphasized by the voiceover slogan "Kraft - Good Things from the World!" This concept is taken to the extreme in the commercial, where it's evident that without this particular mayonnaise, the meal isn't as enjoyable and doesn't bring the same joy.
