The exhibition "From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana" is a unique experience that allows visitors to explore the creative process of the renowned fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Filmmaster and Civita Mostre e Musei were pleased to participate in this international cultural project, coordinating the executive design and production of the exhibition setup based on the creative inspirations and visions of Dolce&Gabbana, curator Florence Müller, and Studio Galuchat. From April 7th to July 31st at Palazzo Reale in Milan, through compelling storytelling, visitors can discover the sources of inspiration for the designers and the intricate craftsmanship behind each masterpiece, celebrating the values of "Handmade".
The exhibition highlights craftsmanship, a core value for the brand, by exploring the diverse sources of inspiration of its founders, ranging from handicrafts to visual arts, and from architecture to cinema and music. This exhibition is not just a celebration of fashion; it is a journey through the history and identity of one of the most iconic Italian fashion houses. By merging innovation and tradition, the exhibition aims to reach a global audience, visiting significant cultural centers.
On April 6, the Royal Palace opened its doors for the inauguration of the exhibition during the inaugural ceremony. Guests were welcomed at the Piazzetta Reale for the ribbon cutting and a welcoming speech. The evening continued with a private tour of the exhibition and concluded with a sophisticated dinner accompanied by live music in the magnificent Sala delle Cariatidi. This event marked the official beginning of the exhibition, offering participants a unique experience at the heart of Milanese art and fashion.
The role of Filmmaster as an exhibition producer emerged as crucial in implementing this ambitious vision, with its proven expertise in design and project engineering management. Addressing the challenge of materializing a highly creative idea required an innovative and meticulous approach, which Filmmaster executed with skill. The accomplishment went beyond creating a unique exhibition experience; it transformed the exhibit into a traveling model, reproducible in various contexts, with an unprecedented attention to detail. The setup stands out for its ability to immerse the visitor in a journey that balances analog and digital elements, offering a scenic narrative that synergistically interacts with the displayed works. The exhibit aimed to reflect the dynamism and continuous evolution of fashion, overcoming the usual static nature of such displays.
