into the Heart of Siena's Duomo with Filmmaster

The Municipality of Siena and the Opera della Metropolitana di Siena, together with Filmmaster, embarked on an extraordinary initiative to explore the beauty of Siena's Duomo: The Divine Beauty - Discovering Siena. This project combines art, culture, history, and technology into one engaging experience. In the first two weekends of programming, over five thousand spectators participated, demonstrating great interest and enthusiasm for the event.Filmmaster transformed the facade of Siena's Duomo with an exciting 3D video mapping, offering spectators an extraordinary immersion into the history of the city and the Duomo itself. With over 800 square meters of surface area, images were projected with extraordinary resolution, thanks to cutting-edge technologies where every detail was captured with over 6 million pixels.

A visual experience in 5 acts that narrates the unique history of the Duomo of Siena and the New Cathedral, offering a journey through the city, its places, and its people. The event aims to spectacularize art to convey values, messages, and historical reenactments, following a global trend of reviving monuments and narrating their identity. This pilot project aims to promote the beauties of all Italy as a living heritage for tourists and Italians alike.A journey that begins with a tribute to beauty and passion, rooted in time and finding its maximum expressive dimension in the Palio. Then, we discover the years of wealth and the transition between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. But also the tragedy of the plague. And the end of the dream of building the New Cathedral, which will magically come to life. Before an immersive finale that eliminates the usual architectural barriers.
